He is also a Research Scientist at UC Berkeley\u2019s School of Information and the director of the Berkeley Counter-Power Lab, an<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>interdisciplinary faculty-student research group. Xiao is the recipient of the MacArthur Fellowship in 2001.
