Mr. Chhimey Rigzen assumed office as the Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama for  Central and Eastern Europe on 7th March, 2019. Prior to taking up this role, he was the  Secretary of the Department of Home under the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) in  Dharamshala, India. He had previously held the office of the Acting Secretary of Health  Department and later, Department of Home between 2016 to 2017. He has also served as the  Settlement Officer across various Tibetan exile settlements in India. Mr. Rigzin joined the CTA  in January 1997 as the Deputy Secretary at the Kashag (Cabinet) Secretariat. He was born in  Pemakoed, Tibet and completed his schooling in Darjeeling, India in exile.
