Dr. Martin Hala was educated in Prague, Shanghai, Berkeley and Harvard. He taught in Prague and Bratislava and is the founder and director of Synopsis.cz, a joint project between Academia and the Institute of East Asian Studies at Charles University in Prague. In 2014-15, he was the Regional Manager for Asia Pacific at the Open Society Foundations.
