Ms. Tenzin Choekyi is a Senior Researcher at Tibet Watch, a research group founded in 2006 to monitor human rights conditions in Tibet. She is a trilingual researcher and translator with a background in environmental science, and has experience translating for stateless Tibetans, refugees, and government bodies. Working with a team of multilingual Tibetans, Tibet Watch combines translation, open-source intelligence (OSINT), and in-depth interviews to document Tibetan experiences of surveillance and Chinese policies. Tenzin regularly provides background and commentary to journalists covering Tibet, and has testified before the Canadian Parliament, the United Nations, and the European Union.
