Ms. Palmo Tenzin is an Advocacy Officer for the International Campaign for Tibet in Germany. She is an experienced researcher and policy officer specialising in Chinese politics and contemporary Tibet. Prior to her advocacy work, Palmo held positions working in the Australian Government and the Australian Strategic Policy Institute. Palmo holds degrees in China studies, Security studies, and Economics from the Australian National University and the University of Oxford. Her interdisciplinary studies have allowed her to focus on a range of topics in the Tibetan region; her Honours thesis analysed Sino-Indian water security issues on the Yarlung Tsangpo/Brahmaputra River, while Master’s thesis explored the rise of Tibetan social enterprises in eastern Tibet.
